Jan. 9, 2016- Marci Thomas and Dixie (Zoom x Cricket) USDAA-Prunedale, CA. Marci writes:Completely awesome first day back at USDAA agility!1st in Standard, 1st in Gamblers,
1st in Snooker. A 6.67yps run in jumpers that I caused a knocked bar in. (bad mom) And....
1 NEW snooker title! SPK title.

Jan. 9, 2016-Jessica Hogue and Slyder (Zoom x Vegas). Jessica writes: Slyder earned Agility Association of Canada (AAC) his Expert Gamblers Bronze (ExG Bronze).

Jan 16-17, 2016-Nicole Watts and Dervish (Dare x Eiffel) and Jinn (Speck x Megan) USDAA Agility Santa Rosa, CA. Nicole writes: No video or pix, but lots of fun-- and wet and rain and mud and dirt-- at the Bay Team's USDAA trial this weekend. Dervish is still flying high but managed to hold every start line! (Cannot say the same for her contacts) Nailed every set of weaves-- whoohoo! She got a Q-3rd/44 dogs in Team Standard on Sat and a SuperQ 3rd place/ 31 dogs in Masters Snooker Sunday. Jinn got to run 3 times including with his best buddy Taiko in pairs and went 3/3 with some gorgeous flying runs in veterans (he loves 12 inches!). Naju got to meet lots of people and dogs, hung out like a trooper in her crate, and world team coach Nancy Gyes spent a few minutes admiring her and proclaimed her a special pup.

Jan 16-17, 2016-Sara McAulay and Joyo (Bella x Naishe) Sara writes: Joyo got his USDAA Advanced Agility Dog title (AAD) last weekend. Onward!

Jan 17, 2016-Kristin Backstrom & Copper (Zoom & Cricket) Kristen writes: ASCA-Burnsville Mn. 1st leg Rally Novice (RN) with a score of 199/200 and a 1st place. Then ran over to the obedience ring and got our 3rd leg Novice Obedience (CD) with a score of 194.5 and a 2nd place. This finished our title for Novice obedience.

Feb. 20, 2016- Anne Graumann, and Wiskey (Naishi x Bella)USDAA agility, CA. Anne writes: Drum roll, please... Whiskey is out of Starters with a Q in Snooker!!!

March 2, 2016-Kristin Backstrom & Copper (Zoom & Cricket) Kristen writes: 2015 year end final standings in USASA (United States Australian Shepherd Club, the AKC parent club) are up. I had originally decided to show Copper only in Novice Rally in 2015 and then continue with the more advanced classes in 2016, but he performed beyond my expectations. Ultimately he worked so well that I put him into both the Advanced level and the Excellent level. He shined in every level. Barring any late corrections: Copper is in 2nd place in Rally Novice B and he’s in 1st Place in both Advanced A and Excellent A! That’s my Big Red!!

March 6, 2016-Kristin Backstrom & Copper (Zoom & Cricket) Kristen writes: Copper and I spent our day at the UMASC Rally trial. He finished up his ASCA Novice Rally title today with two 1st place finishes. And the frosting on the cake is that all of his scores for this title were high enough (needed 3 scores of 195 or higher out of 200 points) to qualify him for the X title too. So he now has a RNX!

March 12, 2016- Marci Thomas and Dixie (Zoom x Cricket)Marci writes: Dixie just earned an obedience title. Her NCO-1 with compliments on her heeling and recall to front. She also earned the following Qs in CPE agility.

2nd in Fullhouse House
1st in Colors She turned in a 13.01 second run in agility. ( clean)

March 12,-Kristin Backstrom & Copper (Zoom & Cricket) Kristen writes: Cooper earned his 2nd AKC beginner novice leg.

Jessica writes: Just a little brag from Slyders Snooker run on Saturday - he tied 1st overall in points but was 3 seconds faster (so top dog in my books) and he beat border collies

March. 13, 2016-Kathy Kenny and Lily-ASCA conformation, The Heart of Texas show in Denton Texas. 4 point major under judge Pamela Nelson. This finished Lily's ASCA championship. Huge congrats to Kathy as this is her first ASCA Ch. All points were put on Lily by Kathy. WTG

March 19-20, 2016- Marci Thomas and Dixie (Zoom x Cricket)Marci writes: Just wanted to share that Dixie earned her NCO-2 obedience title recently. Now to work on her NCO-3

March 19-20, 2016-Anthea Young Miller and Smudge (Zoom x Vegas)(LEINS ONE KISS IS NEVER ENUF JS-N RS-N RN GS-N JS-0). Candada. Anthea writes: This weekend in ASCA Smudge earned: 2 Novice Gambler Q’s with 2 first place finishes. 1 Open Jumpers Q with a 3 rd place. 1 Elite Jumpers Q with a 3rd Place.

April 2-3, 2016-Linda Van Diijk and Indy (George x Dell) PASA/ASCA agility trial, Turlock, CA. Linda writes: Indy entered his first agility trial April 2,2016 in Turlock, Ca at the ASCA trial which was held by Peninsula Australian Shepherd Assoc. I’m so proud of my boy, he exceeded all my expectations! He made 2 qualifying runs, Novice Jumpers & Novice Gamblers coming in 1st in both classes. Then a 2nd in Gamblers & a 2nd in Jumpers. Not only did he have fun running in agility, he also had fun visiting with his “family” from Idaho. Thanks Gina for a great dog!

April 2, 2016-Sandra Magee and Paris (Dare x Eifffel). Delta trial Turlock, CA. Sandra writes: Paris and I haven't gone any rally training since May of last year so I was kind of crazy for putting her in the trial. But I just couldn't help myself when I got there. It wasn't until I started watching the trial I realized the class I entered her in was off leash. We've never done off leash work in an outdoor environment with all kinds of stuff going on around us. But you do know Paris is Perfect. Right? So for her first time out in Rally Advanced she earned both a Rally Advanced leg and a Rally Advanced X leg (that means she earned score of 195 or higher). Her scored was 199 with a First Place and the only dog qualifying in the class.

April 2-3, 2016-Rick Lowry and Joy (Zoom x Shiloh). Joy earned her WTCH at the Gardnerville NV trial.

April 2-3, 2016-Rick Lowry and Reddi(Zoom x Shiloh) Reddi earned his open stock titles (cattle,sheep and ducks) at the Grnderville, NV

April 9, 2016-Nicole Watts and Dervish (Dare x Eiffel). Nicole writes: Yesterday I took Dervish to a day of USDAA. We did 6 runs, I think, including the fancy standard and fancy jumpers (Master Challenge-- Biathlon, with more European style courses). I really worked her contacts, especially since on our first run of the day she missed her a-frame contact-- flew right over it. But I downed her and then continued, and she settled down. I front crossed most of her other contacts to remind her to stop. And she was awesome! She came away with a Q-4th Masters Gamblers, a Q-2nd and Super Q in Masters Snooker, and-- tadaa-- a Q-1st in Masters Jumpers AND a Q-1st in Masters Challenge Jumpers, and she took Q-2nd in the Biathlon (the combined scores of fancy standard and fancy jumpers). I was already really happy about the good work she did in the first 2 runs, but we have never got a 1st place in masters jumpers in USDAA, so to get the Q-1st in both these was really cool. On her first jumpers run she went at 6.75 yards per second... What a girlie.

April 16-17, 2016-Sara McAulay and Joyo (Bella x Naishe) Sara writes: Home from an enjoyable weekend of ASCA agility at the fairgrounds in Woodland. Today was a super-good one for Joyo. He Q'd in all his classes (one "dirty" 5 pointer in his first Regular run, when the last bar came down), INCLUDING Gamblers. I guess that made it 4.5/5 on the day, which ain't shabby. Even so, I was surprised -- and delighted! -- to learn that he was runner-up HIT Elite! Aussome! I was so proud of both my guys :-)"

April 30, 2016-Nicole Watts and Dervish (Dare x Eiffel). Nicole writes: Dervish did some very good work on super challenging courses and eaked out a Steeplechase Q (even with having to re-do the broadjump-- the rest of her course was so fast that she still Qed even with that time lost) and another Biathlon Q on very tough courses.

May 1, 2016- Marci Thomas and Dixie (Zoom x Cricket)Marci writes: Dixie earned a Team PVP Q today(California). PVP is the performance version of a DAM team! Woot!!!

May 7-8, 2016 Anthea Young Miller and Smudge (Zoom x Vegas) Canada. Anthea writes: Smudge and I were at the ASC of BC trial this weekend and earned 3 Q's. 1 Open Gamblers with a first place and 2 Elite Jumpers. 1 for her Elite Jumpers title and the other was her first Q towards her ATCH. Love my blue eyed girl!

Aug. 8, 2016-Nicole Watts and Jinn (Speck x Megan) . Nicole writes: Mr Jinn Jinn, age 12 and a third years, went 4/5 Qs and had such a good time. Here are 2 of his jumpers runs. The first was on very wet ground, and he had to work really hard with his wobbly hind end to keep those bars up.

Nicole Watts and Jinn Jinn (age 12.5 years)- National Agility Trial: Q-1sts in both rounds of Elite Regular Ace Senior Division (his last time competing in Regular courses), Q-2nd Elite Jumpers R2, Ace Senior division and multiple Q-1sts in Elite Jumpers Ace Senior division for the pre-trials!

And, team Tilting at Windmills (Dervish & Nicole, Finley & Susan Laursen, Rocker & Pam Smith) won 5th place overall in the Team Tourney :-)

Oct. 8, 2016-Sally Josselyn and Pai (Dare x Hayden) USDAA agility trial. Sally writes: Introducing LAA Platinum Windmill's Uusi Paiva! She earned her 500th Q today on Lynn Sigman's Master Gamblers course. For those unfamiliar with USDAA, that Lifetime Achievement Award requires 50 qualifying scores in each of the five Masters classes plus an additional 250 Qs on any combination of Masters and Tournament classes. Oct. 23, 2016-Nicole Watts and Dervish (Dare x Eiffel). USDAA agility, Morgan Hill, CA. Nicole writes: Woohooo- there's a first time for everything! Dervish celebrated her one-year-being-a-mama anniversary with a Q-1st in USDAA Masters Standard this morning (first time she's managed that placement in this crazy talented group of masters 22" dogs!), and Q-2nd in Masters Jumpers yesterday just half a second behind the 1st place BC. Lots of great work from the girlie, including in biathlon where I seem to manage about 12-14 obstacles before losing my mind.

Oct. 23, 2016- Marci Thomas and Dixie (Zoom x Cricket)Marci writes: As of 10/23 Dixie is qualified for CPE Nationals in May. Also Dixie also earned two ASCA Rally Novice legs ( one a 3rd place) at the Delta ASCA show in the beginning of October.
