Garth was always an outstanding, high drive, high energy boy. Due to other (non dog)commitments, Garth did not competed further then his Ch. He was trained through his open obedience work but was never trialed.

Garth was always a major help around the ranch with day to day chores. Though untrained as a stock dog, it was Garth that we used to put the sheep in the holding pens to be sheared and wormed. Even when he was far into his senior years, he still had his jobs he wanted to do (do not ever tell this boy he is too old!!!!)

CVASC held a show in February of 2007. At 14+ years of age I brought Garth and entered him in Vets just so he knew he was still a show doggy. Garth entered the ring and really picked up his pace when he realized what was going on. I want to thank everyone who clapped, whooped and hollered. When Garth heard that he literally put it in overdrive and strutted his stuff. He was on top of the world.

That night we had a BBQ at my trailer for Pat Lambeth's 60th birthday. Again everyone fussed over Garth and he loved it. He had such a wonderful time at this show. Thank you everyone for making my old boy feel so special.
